1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Harlps. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when creating your profile.
• Keep your profile information up to date.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
• Not share your account with any other person.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. User-Generated Content

Harlps allows users to submit reviews, photos, business listings, and other content (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you:

• Represent that you own or have the right to submit the content.
• Grant Harlps a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and use your content within the Service.
• Acknowledge that reviews are published publicly and attributed to your display name.
• Acknowledge that business photos you upload are stored in our public storage and visible to all users.

You retain ownership of your User Content. We do not claim ownership over content you submit.

4. Review and Rating Guidelines

Reviews on Harlps must be honest, accurate, and based on a genuine experience. When writing a review, you agree not to:

• Submit fake, fabricated, or misleading reviews.
• Review a business you own, manage, or have a conflict of interest with.
• Submit reviews in exchange for payment, discounts, or other incentives.
• Post multiple reviews for the same business from different accounts.
• Include defamatory, harassing, or abusive content in reviews.
• Include personal information (such as phone numbers or addresses) of private individuals.

We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines without notice.

5. Business Listings

Business owners who create listings on Harlps agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information about their business, including address, operating hours, and contact details.
• Not create listings for businesses they do not own or operate.
• Not upload photos they do not have the rights to use.
• Keep business information up to date.

Harlps is a discovery and review platform. We do not verify the accuracy of business listings and are not responsible for errors or outdated information. Users should independently verify business details before visiting.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use Harlps to:

• Violate any applicable Indian or international laws or regulations.
• Post spam, unsolicited messages, or promotional content in reviews or replies.
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service using automated tools without our written permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its systems.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Upload content containing malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
• Use the Service in any way that interferes with or disrupts the Service or servers connected to it.
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users of the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

The Harlps name, logo, design, and all software, text, graphics, and other materials provided by us are owned by Harlps and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our proprietary content without our express written permission.

8. Favourites and Helpful Votes

Features such as saving favourite businesses and marking reviews as helpful are for personal use only. You agree not to manipulate these features artificially (e.g., using multiple accounts or automated tools to inflate helpful votes or favourite counts).

9. Account Termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account, without notice or liability, if we determine that you have:

• Violated these Terms or our Review Guidelines.
• Submitted fraudulent or misleading content.
• Engaged in harassment or abuse of other users.
• Used the Service for illegal purposes.
• Created multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension or ban.

You may delete your own account at any time by contacting us at teams@harlps.com. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days. Publicly submitted reviews and business listings may be anonymised rather than deleted.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

• We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.
• We do not verify the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any business listing or user-submitted review.
• Business information (hours, address, phone numbers) may be outdated or incorrect. You should independently verify business details.
• Star ratings and reviews reflect the opinions of individual users and not the views of Harlps.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Harlps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹500 (five hundred Indian Rupees), whichever is greater.

12. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service integrates with third-party services including Supabase, Google Sign-In, and OpenStreetMap. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. Harlps is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party service.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending a notification via the app or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, specifically the laws of the State of Tamil Nadu, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Tamil Nadu, India. You hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
